Thomas Budd Moore has been carrying the Cross since October 1981. It was God Almighty who called Thomas to carry the Cross. Click on Cross for more about Mr. Moore.

“Adventures With Jesus” is about how the Lord had called Thomas Budd Moore to walk with a twelve foot Cross. This book is a testimony about the first two years of walking.

Thomas only walks when the Lord has given him a starting place and a place to stop. The experiences in this book are from the years 1981 and 1982, the first and second walk. These two walks set in motion the ministry of carrying the Cross.

Throughout this book there is something new along the highway each day, and something different to do in ministering to the Body of Christ and to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

The book is a testimony to the grace and love of Jesus Christ, the Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. It was the grace of God that each walk was completed as God provide the finances needed for each walk. [Grace > God's Ability working through a believer to accomplsh that which the beleiver was called to do, the believer's calling.]

An exert From the Book

The 1982 Walk Begins; The next morning Thomas Moore left his house and started toward U.S. 31 with only 74 cents in the pockets. Just after turning south on U.S. 31, a man stopped with a can of soda pop. Then about two blocks later, another person stopped to blesses the work of God with $3.00.

Several miles south of Kokomo, at Pat’s she invited Thomas into their home for glass of cold water, Pat introduced him to her mother who was sick with cancer. Before Thomas left, the LORD ministered to Pat’s mother and Thomas laid hand on her for healing. The LORD healed Pat’s mother. (A couple years later Pat stopped him in a church and said God healed her Mother after we prayed. Praise The Lord!) About a mile north of SR 28, a thunderstorm came out of the southwest quickly.  Thomas prayed and the storm moved north and the lightning never struck any closer than three miles. Nevertheless, the rain was still heavy and soaked Thomas. The rain felt good because the day was very hot. The rain was so hard that cars had to pull off the road and stop.  He had to stop also and wait the rain out because the cars could not see the Cross.

When the rain had let up to where it was safe to walk again the walk continued. Thomas stopped at Sherrill’s Restaurant to eat dinner and rest. God had provided more than enough for the meal, but when he went to pay of the meal, someone else had already paid for it. Praise the LORD! The LORD is fulfilling his name Yehwah Yireh (Yehovah Yireh [Jehovah-Jireh]).About a mile north of SR 28, a thunderstorm came out of the southwest quickly.  Thomas prayed and the storm moved north and the lightning never struck any closer than three miles. The owner said that the man with the Cross could pitch his tent between the restaurant and gas station. This was the LORD’S will because later during the night there was a very violent storm that went through the area. The buildings protected the tent from the violet wind, but the wind blew a few tent states loose. The wind did blow some rain through the door of the tent. Praise the LORD for people who the Holy Spirit moves and obey him. The next morning, Thomas ate breakfast and then headed south on U.S. 31.

It was near dinnertime when Thomas Moore reached the Midway restaurant. There he stopped for a rest and ate a light meal. After eating, he called Pastor C to let him know about what time he would arrive at Cicero Road.

About two miles from Cicero Road, a family stopped the Cross as it was passing by their home. They were Catholic but knew Jesus in a personal way that was real. The family was a blessing.
